18-Year-Old Fatally Shot In Newark: Prosecutor

A 18-year-old Elizabeth resident was killed after being shot in the head on Sunday, Dec. 1 in Newark, authorities said.

Wes Thalerand was fatally shot at 9 p.m. at 188 Huntington Avenue, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said. He was pronounced dead at University Hospital in Newark, authorities said.

The investigation is ongoing, authorities said.
